We negated the stars
With excessive wishes,
With boundless greed,
With endless wanting.
Undone, they wink out;
Like dead fireflies
Their cold light fades.
And in luciferin fail,
Bioluminescent angels
Fall from the heavens.
The stars collapse,
Leaving black holes
Where souls once were.
Our wishes implode
In deep sky,
Ungranted.
There’s nothing left
To hear your pleas,
No stars left for you.
